About Pink® Batts®
What is it? Range of insulating material made from lightweight, flexible and resilient glass wool. It is recognisable by its pink colour.
What does it do? It keeps the heat in when it's cold and the heat out when it's hot. It can also reduce levels of noise.
Performance
Thermal insulation Resistant to heat and cold. Glass wool outperforms most other materials with the same R-value. 
The Pink® Batts® range offers different levels of thermal protection, depending on your need.
Sound insulation Pink® Batts® insulation absorbs sound, dampening inside and outside noise.
Fire performance Non-combustible – it will not catch fire or melt easily.
Rot, mould, humidity and corrosion Does not rot.
Moisture resistance Resistant to moisture. However, it loses its effectiveness if wet.
Life of insulation 50 years plus, depending on where it is installed.
Type of product
Glass wool Mainly glass (up to 80%) & sand, spun into fibres. The process is similar to the way candy floss is made.
Health and safety
Safe product Glass wool is safe for humans (based on research).
Installation risk Wearing protective clothing during installation will prevent temporary skin irritation.
