About Pink® Batts®
What is it? Range of insulating material made from lightweight, flexible and resilient glass wool. It is recognisable by its pink colour.
What does it do? It keeps the heat in when it's cold and the heat out when it's hot. It can also reduce levels of noise.
Performance
Sound insulation Pink® Batts® insulation absorbs sound, dampening inside and outside noise.
Fire performance Non-combustible – it will not catch fire or melt easily.
Rot, mould, humidity and corrosion Does not rot.
Moisture resistance Resistant to moisture. However, it loses its effectiveness if wet.
Life of insulation 50 years plus, depending on where it is installed.

Thermal Insulation

Glass wool fibres generally perform better than other fibrous insulation and require less weight to achieve the same R-value. Pink Batts insulation comes in a range of different R-values to best match a product to your need.
Type of product

Glasswool

Glass wool is a non-combustible insulation material that won’t catch fire or melt easily, corrode or rot. It is not a food source for vermin.
Health and safety
Installation risk Wearing protective clothing during installation will prevent temporary skin irritation.

Safe Product

The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies the glass wool formulation used to manufacture Pink® Batts® products in the same category as caffeine and chlorinated drinking water.
  Pink® Batts® insulation is independently certified to meet the strict international chemical emissions limits of both the Greenguard and M1 standards to help create healthier indoor air environments.
