Our commitment
We want to ensure that Pink® Batts® insulation has the lightest possible environmental footprint, thereby helping to preserve our environment for present and future generations.
How it’s made

Pink® Batts® insulation is predominately made from up to 80% recycled glass and sand. By reusing the glass to make insulation, we reduce the amount of landfill each year by the equivalent of 60 rugby fields in size.
The recycled glass is locally sourced from suppliers near the manufacturing plants to minimise transport costs. Energy used during the manufacture of Pink® Batts® products is offset by the energy saved by a fully insulated home within a three to 15 month timeframe.
Environmental Choice New Zealand
The Pink® Batts® Ultra® ceiling and wall insulation and Pink® Batts® Classic R3.6 ceiling insulation have been awarded the Environmental Choice New Zealand accreditation.
Environment Choice New Zealand accreditation identifies a product as less harmful to the environment than other similar products. More
Continuous improvement
We routinely evaluate our manufacturing and distribution processes to find ways to conserve resources and energy and to reduce our environmental impact.
